The incident occurred at Pearson Hall West (310 Alumni Mall) in the evening hours of Nov. 9, 2025. The survivor and offender were known to each other and are best described as acquaintances. The offender is a Virginia Tech student.\n\nAs reported, this incident meets the elements of Sexual Battery as defined in Virginia Code 18.2-67.4, and Assault and battery as defined in Virginia Code 18.2-57.\n\nInformation disclosed here is limited to protect the identity, privacy, and rights of the survivor.",
